Jaguar X and You Tube
On DirectV you get access to You Tube, you can't post, but you can watch video's. I did a search Jaguar X V6 engine assembly. The first video that came up was a Jaguar commercial, showing snips of the car being made as well as the engine. I forgot the DOHC is two cams per bank, one intake and one exhaust. Also, before the clip there is a short explanation of what you are about to see. It read a Duratec V6 engine highly modified by Jaguar and engineered by Porsche. Nothing about what Porsche engineered in the V6.
The video is about 2 minutes long, so you have to watch is attentively, several part showed engine assembly the round transfer case and at the rear it looks like a transmission. But I know these cars are not rear transmission cars, but the rear end design is difference then the round bulge you see in most cars, this one is squarish and of course both wheels come out the sides. Also, I did not see a split drive train. I though Jaguar AWD used a split drive train in these cars. The video was of a newer car than mine as it had the rear air foil on the trunk lid and a bit different front end treatment. There is also a 3 part video on how to fix broken HID lights. It is made somewhere in Europe, and it part is about 15 minutes. The fellow doing it uses glue for the most part and used parts from junkyard cars. The video is horrid, whoever handled the camera had no idea how to do it correctly. But there is a language barrier, I think he is speaking Polish, there are some English subtitles, one is right in the middle of his demo of fixing a part. IMHO it is not that useful except on how to take the headlight apart once it is out of the car. There is no mention of how to get it out of the car by the way. I'D rate it a C-
