Jolt / stutter during acceleration
An old problem back again - P0191 and P0430 are the error codes I get - the car jolts / stutters during acceleration. 2 years ago I had this same problem and changed the fuel pressure sensor and it was ok - now when it re-appeared I tried the same but the problem is still there. Any ideas?

Jaguar0222, I would say to first start with replacing your fuel filter. This would be especially true if you haven't done it in the last 15K miles (25000 KM). It is possible that your fuel filter is clogged and it is not letting sufficient fuel pressure reach the engine. After that, it would probably be best to tap into your fuel line to see what real pressure is. Unfortunately, this is going to take a little bit of work as there is no easy port to get the pressure from.
How many miles are on the car? It may be very possible that what you are experiencing is your fuel pump starting to go and it simply is not getting up to sufficient pressure and is causing the car to spit and sputter. Something you can try (I know this is going to sound silly) is to jack up the car on the right side to give yourself a little bit of room. From there, locate the gas tank and on the bottom of the tank, you are going to see a half moon indention in the tank. Take your fist or a rubber mallet and give the center of that moon a good whack or two. This is going to jar the fuel pump and we have seen where this will cause the fuel pump to shift a little bit and work for a bit. If things get better after this, then odds are your fuel pump is starting to go.

My car would occasionally throw that code along with the one for the knock sensor before I replaced it. Same symptoms, Jolts! perfectly describes it. Do you get the cruise not available message as well?
My car would do that once in a blue moon until I replaced the spark plugs which it didn't seem to like. I changed em again and it was fine for a day.
Doing the knock sensor on these engines is a ridiculously complicated task that can't really be done correctly any way. Therefore, its super easy to unplug the old one, bolt a new one on with a thick flat washer to the driver's side end of a cylinder head. Cheap part, no problems in 25k miles. Well, no engine problems atleast. The knock sensor code was something like po333.
