Default Just got my jag and have a quick question...

Hey everyone! I just picked up my 2002 X-type 5spd manual. I love it! Im looking forward to keeping and taking care of it and love that this site is around!

I have a question about wheels. I definitely dont want to do anything aftermarket on this but I do like the wheels from newer jags. I know a guy who is selling 18 inch stock rims from a 2005 Jag. Mine are 17 inch rims and I have a 2002. I believe the lug pattern is the same but my concern is with speed sensors, AWD, traction control, etc.

My question is would putting on stock 18 in. rims from a newer jag cause anything not to work or have a negative affect on the car?

Thanks in advance!

-Rob

Rob, get the new rims. You will not have any issues. All the wheel specs are the same. So, no rubbing issues to worry about. As for the AWD, ABS, etc, no problems on that front either. By them and enjoy your new ride.

If you have more questions, just ask.
