I`m new to this forum and i am in need of some help. I bought a 2002 jaguar x type 3.0L . I installed a used transmission 43k and when i went to test drive i noticed i had no reverse. The R lights up on the shifter flour, you can kind of feel it kick in to reverse but it just revs up. if you feather the gas a little bit it will move a tiny bit backwards. i jack the rear end of the car and it will spin in reverse but not under a load. Transmission fluid is full. Im wondering if it has a bad valve body, band, or solinoid pack. all gears work very well but reverse. any help would be great.
