Cool vid.

Although I'm always intrigued as to where the 'lolly' comes from.

The folk in the video, are, somewhat young.

PS, Exexpat, for a project, an LR or RR with 'Kinetic' suspension (hydraulic) could be fun.

I'm thinking kit car next as third car. I want to build an electric vehicle that looks like a supercar, then give it to my son for his 16th birthday (in 6 years). There are a few Celica-based kits I could probably mash together with Prius parts and I have about 5 spare sets of wheels now

XF is a nice car, I usually wait till they are worth nothing before I *******ize them, so I figure I'm at least 2-3 years out for an XF.

I wish I got a car for my 16th birthday! I had to buy my xtype for myself as a 17th bday present . Just remember to post on here whichever way you choose to go. I'm thinking of swapping out of for an xf as soon as they become dirt cheap (under $10k.)

Just remember to keep his first car safe or slow. My Jeep was the safest car I ever drove cause it didn't go over 45 :P. I saw way too many people in my high school get seriously injured from car accidents that could have been prevented with a safe car such as the xtype.

I think it would be cool if my son drove this as his first car:

Probably in black. It's slow and reliable and looks decent. The upsides of the real thing without him killing himself or needing to visit a mechanic every 20,000 miles We'll see. (btw - I bought my first car, too. a 1969 VW Bug for $900 back in 1990)

haha it looks decent? I think it looks spectacular! except for it needs to be a bit lower and have minor spacers to look like the real thing. Of course, I don't need to tell the master of wheels and fitment that though

As much as I loved driving my beater saturn for my first car, I always wished I had a nicer car and not just a saturn.... He will be a lucky man whichever way the car frontier goes.

Hello, I believe you posted a gray 02 x type with 19" x 8" coventry wheels. The car had not been lowerd and I really like the way it looked. The problem I have is I look up the wheels and they do have them in 19" x 8.5" but they say that they won't fit my car. If you would could you send me all the details on the specs of wheel and tires so I can finally be done with this little project. Thanks.

Trust me when I say they are wrong. The 19x8.5" ET42 Coventry Whitley in 5x108 with 225/35/19 WILL FIT without rubbing or any fender mods.

After having more than a dozen sets of wheels (up to 10" wide in front and rear), I can promise you they will fit. Tire guys don't always hold high school diplomas and haven't tested wheels on X-Types in the same way I have.

Just tell them you have a 2008 XJ. At that point you will have outsmarted them.
