Default Key Fob Features

Can my key fob be programmed to make the windows open or close? ala Audi. Are there any other neat features other than the norm?

Assuming your remote works with your car after changing the battery (ie you re-coded it to your car if you took too long to swap the battery) then you can...
Hold the lock button for more than 4 seconds all open windows.sunroof will close, this is called global closing.
Cant be used though to open the windows (global opening).
If you hold the lock/unlock button together for a few seconds the indicators will flash which switches between 1 and 2 stage locking/unlocking.

I was under the impression the global close only worked when you had the key in the door and hold it in the close position. Or is that something that works on the newer models (I have a 2002)?

I asked my dealer about global close a while back when I read about it on a forum and realized my key fob didn't perform that function. It seems that U.S. models are not programmed for global close, only global open, due to child safety laws. However, as kandA stated, you can do global close by putting the key in the door lock and holding it in the close position.
