Hey I changed my battery on my key and programmed it correctly and it worked for a couple days and then it stopped working now when I lock from the key fob it makes the noise but doors don't lock and also when I open the trunk it opens but my alarm goes off. I have to lock the car with the key and it is annoying. Anyone know of any past issues and I need new buttons since mine are alittle worn out

 

Did you look at the little circuit board on the inside of the remote? Is there any green corrosion on it? If so it might need cleaning. If not, its possible that the remote is either faulty, or somehow lost programming. Try reprogramming it again and see what happens.

 

Update: it had a ton of green corrosion and I cleaned it and went to program and it did but still when I lock the car it stays unlocked and the trunk opens but the unlock button on the key fob button doesn't work also it sounds like a noise of an animal when I unlock manually.

 

I cleaned it and I can turn on the lights and open the trunk with the key but I can't unlock the button doesn't work and I think the circuit board is missing a piece but when I lock the car it makes the noise but doesn't lock

 

Are you sure the problem is the keyfob and not the door locks? Are you saying that when you open the doors with the fob NONE of them unlock or SOME of them unlock? When you use the key in the door to unlock them do NONE of them open or SOME of them open?

You might want to try and move the lock/unlock button on the doors back and forth a number of times to see if you can loosen them up a bit. I remember when I had my X one of the rear doors that I did not use often would not always lock with the fob and if I worked it back and forth a number of times it would be good for a while. Just figured it was from lack of use.

 

None of the locks open when I press the button but before when it was working the button worked and now When I lock the button on the fob nothing happens and I'll try and play with it and I did check the lock on the side of the door anything I should spray on it?

 

When I lock and unlock with the key itself I have no issues. Only when I use the buttons the trunk and lights button do come on but Unlock doesn't respond and lock makes the noise but car stays unlock just tried spraying WD40 on the latch and I will try locking and unlocking the doors.

 

Probably best to just buy a new fob, program it and be done with it. After 15 years the button is probably shot if you tried cleaning it and couldn't get it to work. They aren't expensive and there is plenty of info on here to program it.

 

Yea I decided to buy a new one but new problem rear door drivers side doesn't open from the inside and sometimes on the outside?

 

Is this okay to buy?
