hi im new to this sight hope im in the right place i have a x type until last week my key fob was working fine then all of a sudden it stopped working iv changed the battery but no luck i can lock it with key but when i unlock it i have to hurry and put key in ignition before alarm goes off and only the drivers door will open with the key and on the dash it says rear passenger door open but its closed thanks

Open the offending rear door, spray some lubricant in the mechanism then open and close the door half a dozen times. If that doesn't clear your problem then you will have to remove the door card and replace the door ajar switch which is part of said mechanism.

hi there I had this problem on a 53 plate rear drivers door, turned out to be the actuator solenoid, got the part from main dealer £125 and fitted myself with a helping hand it took 45 minutes to fit start to finish, hey presto everything worked fine. hope this helps
