Default LED Light Question

On the X Type, can I just replace the rear bulbs with LED or do I need to fit resistors? I did the swap on my old Volvo and the bulbs used so little power the car thought all the bulbs were out and it did that fast flashing thing. So I had to put resistors in-line to get them to work.

Thanks

flyrr, if you put them into the stop lights, parking lights, or reverse lights, then no resistor is required. If you put them into your turn signals, then yes, you will need the resistors unless the LED bulbs have the resistor built in (these are known as the CAN BUS bulbs).
