Lemme introduce myself
Hey there!
As stated before in another thread I just bought a 2004 3.0 and it seems great. Very impressed with the handling. I'm adding it to my stable of Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus that I currently own. I moderate a few large car forums and own a few websites, so I've "been around". this will be my first Jag experience so I'm hoping for the best. The FORD thing kinda bothers me a little, but if it holds together I'll back the brand as strongly as any other.
Me and the lady ended up side by side at the gas station this morning and snapped this pic

FORD owns Jag. There are FORD relays in the jag, there are no Chrystler relays in the Benz. [8D]
Makes all the difference who owns who.

Thanks all, the car is doing wonderfully. I paid a premium to get one in perfect shape with low miles. I saw them going as cheap as $11,000 for 02 models with 75k, but I wanted the newest one I could find and it had to be perfect so I ended up closer to $20k for an '04 3.0 in mint shape under 50k.
Cobra, you'll remember my recent thread in the SC forum on buying the best you can buy from the get go and passing up on the fixer uppers, so you know I walk the walk.

Well it does appear to be a nice one. It has almost every option of the VDP. I guess it's just a nice 3.0
http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews...uar_xtype_vdp/
The X range now includes the base model, which is powered by a 3.0-liter DOHC V6 rated at 227 horsepower. There's a Sport version that has body "enhancements" such as front and rear lower spoilers and a rear deck lid spoiler, as well as a black mesh radiator grille. The X-Type VDP (for Van den Plas) is more luxurious, with burl walnut trim, heated (front) leather seats, and rain-sensing wipers.
