Default Light switch not working

Was just wondering why I can't turn off my dipped beams, they always have a tendency of staying on when driving. I prefer to just keep the 5w5 bulbs on during the day, but apparently it doesn't give me that option. Do I need a new fuse for the light switch or.. ?

Electrical area's is not quite my forte.

The owners manual indicates Canadian vehicles require running lights on.

Fezz, there are 4 different headlight switches for X-Types. The headlight switch that you get dictates how the lights will function. While I am not telling you to violate local laws, if you were to get say the "US" version headlight switch, that would give you what you are after. If you want more info, send me a message and I will give you all the detail that you want.
