Default Lights

My head lights and my tail lights don't turn on when I turn on my side lights on and when I turn the headlight on my taillights still don't turn on. I've checked the fuses and only two were burnt out so I changed them(F63,F64) and they are not getting power as well as F86 but F85 is getting power. What could be causing the problem

I used the diagram on http://www.jaguar.com/content/market...s_Handbook.pdf .

I'm not clear on exactly what is happening here.

For 'normal Sidelight/Headlight operation, the ignition should be in position II and the light switch pushed fully in so that Front and Rear Fog Lights are OFF

Does this then summarise it:

1. Side and Tail Lights come ON with the switch in position B
2. Dipped Headlights and Tail Lights come ON in switch position C
3. Headlights and Tail Lights then go OFF in switch position C when you pull the left hand stalk fully towards the steering wheel to switch to Main Beam

carlos, turning on your high beams should have no effect on your running lights and tail lights. They are completely separate circuits. If you are experiencing when you flash the high beams that you have your running lights come on, then you have a problem with one of your headlight assembly plugs and you have some pins that are shorting together, resulting in a short.

Please provide a bit more information. I think you are confusing some of us as to what is going on with your car.
