Default Is It Likely All Oxygen Sensor All Fail

Hello All,
I have a X Type 3.0 litre V6 and I have a fault light on so I took it too a garage who informed me they couldn't understand why but they could not get a reading for any of the four Lambda Sensor.
Is their anything else that could cause this problem ?
Thanks

slarti, based on what you are describing, I would be first checking out engine bay fuses F38 and F42 if you have a 2001.5 to 2004.25 (ie, a 04 made before April 2004) or fuses F21 and F22 on the newer models.

This is also assuming that you have either the 2.5L or 3.0L motors. If you have something different, please let us know. Without giving a few details about what year and engine car you have, it makes figuring out what the problems are.

Thanks Chris for your reply
I have a 2001 3 litre V6 X Type and I will check out the fuses to see if that's the issue.

I tried all the fuses and unfortunately they were all fine so it's not caused by a faulty fuse.
Any other idea's on what could cause ?

slarti, at this point, I would be asking what codes you are getting from the ECU? I am assuming that because you took it to the garage, that you had a Check Engine Light on. This may help narrow things down. But, if the fuses are good, then you are looking at either a bad ECU (where only the lambda sensors failed) or the wiring harness going to the sensors has gotten damaged (either by touching an exhaust manifold or gotten damaged some other way). There have been instances where critters have gotten up into the engine bay and they have destroyed a wiring harness. But, I would think that the garage would have seen this. I am running out of possibilities.
