Default Limited slip rear differential ???

Is the x-type rear diff limited slip? If so should we be adding the limited slip position track additive? I know on my truck without the addititive it make some noise.any thoughts anyone. Thanks Chris

Harley, the rear differential on our cars is an open differential setup. So, no need to add any additives to there. It would be nice if it was as it would make a dramatic improvement to the AWD system and from personal experience with limited slip units, it can make a world of a difference.

Yeah I wish both diffs were limited slip. Quaife makes a LSD for the MTX75 trans but that's not cheap, and a lot of work to install, but I've heard good things from the guys that put them in SVT contours. I've been wondering about the rear diff in awd mondeos and Volvos, maybe some of them came with LSD. If so they would bolt into the X type.
