Default Locating a fuse without pulling out all of them.

Before I pull out all the fuses in order to just find which one links to the "brown and white" wire that (I believe|) will power my new stereo, I thought i'd ask here incase anyone knows which one it is?
My car is a Jaguar 2004 X type sedan. The brown and white wire from my understanding "should" be lighting up in my circuit tester? But it doesn't. Any ideas??

Arnolds, you have 2 options when it comes to the fuse that you are looking for. I say this because in 2004, some of the vehicles got 1 wiring harness (ie, before the upgrade) and others got a new and improved harness. What you will need to do is look in the driver's door jam and see when your car was built. Was it on/before March 2004 or after.

As for the fuse that you are after, here are your two options:

The early cars it will be fuse F72 in the cabin fuse box. This will be a 15 amp fuse.
The later cars it will be fuse F44 in the cabin fuse box. This will be a 15 amp fuse.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond with your helpful information.

I will give your instructions a go, and will keep you posted on how it all went.

Thanks again...

Arnold.
