It's an 18-way black connector on the Transmission itself.

Thanks and am curious how to access it? Under the car or can it be accessed from the top? Also, what side or where should I ve looking for it? On driver side or on the passenger side? Near anything else as a close by marker?

Thanks a ton, really appreciate it

The connector is mounted on a metal bracket on the black transmission cover plate in the front. Its held in by 3 nuts (forgot what size).

If you remove the battery and tray you can pull the connector and bracket up to the top as seen in the photo.

Youll have to get underneath in the front of the trans either way to dissconnect the connector/bracket.

Thanks a ton man! Exactly what I was looking for!

Much much appreciated!

Figured out from testing it that I have a bad 2/4 brake duty solenoid. Any idea where that it located or any info on that so I can replace it?

Thanks a ton again

It will be inside the transmission. You'll need to take the black pan off that faces the front of the vehicle. Don't forget to drain the transmission fluid, otherwise you'll have a huge mess.

Removal

  1. Remove the main control valve body. For additional information, refer to Main Control Valve Body.

  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  3. Remove the shift solenoid.

Installation
  1. NOTE:
Lubricate the shift solenoid O-ring seal with automatic transmission fluid WSS-M2C922-A1 or equivalent meeting Jaguar specification.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    1. Tighten to 8 Nm.
    2. Install the main control valve body. For additional information, refer to Main Control Valve Body.

    Hey

Quick update, I changed both brake dity solenoids and still have the gearbox fault message and the code p0778. Took off the tcm and inspected for water damage and no damn water. Now I'm frustrated because I've removed the transmission pan twice and still no luck. Now I'm clueless what it might be. Any help? Thanks a ton
