location of Petrol lambda sensor
Can anyone tell me where to find the petrol lambda sensor ?
I have located the MAF sensor to left of the battery and know where the oxygen lambda is below the CAT. The petrol sensor has evaded my attentions and it is this one I need to change.
Many thanks and eternal worship to the guy who can help

Ray, the easier one to see is smack dab in the center of the car. Open the hood/bonnet of your car. Now, locate the air filter box. Now, look down between the filter box and the radiator. You should see the cat sitting there (probably see the silver heat shield). In the middle of the heat shield, you should see something like the downstream oxygen sensor sticking out of the heat shield. That is your fuel lambda sensor.
The one for the other bank is between the motor and the firewall. If you look down on the back side of the engine, you will see the cat there and the oxygen sensor sticking out the side of the cat. Fairly easy to see, but a real PITA to get access to it so you can replace it.

Not so hard
These may look like a pita, but not if you don't overthink the job. I simply eased the heat shield away and used a spanner, if I remember correctly I had to lever with another spanner to start with, after a couple of turns it was easier by hand. Stop overthinking and you'll be fine they just look daunting. Don't forget to buy the correct replacement sensor, these petrol X types really don't like generic sensors
