Default Lower Grille Splitter

How do I remove the lower grille splitter piece that goes across the bottom of the front end? I haven't tried it yet so if it's just pulling it off then great but I need to replace mine so what is the process?
Jag X-Type 2002

Here is the part I''m talking about:

I searched thru my X-Type work shop manual and can only find information for removal of the trim strips and removal of the front bumper. If it like my XK8 the splitter is hold on with "fir tree" fasteners. They are a push in plastic fastener. You cut off the head and push them on thru the hole and replace with new.
The trim strips are held on with a bracket on the strip that has a keeper inserted after it mounts on the bumper cover.
The other fastener used is the ones you will find on the wheel arch inner covers. It is an expansion fastener that once inserted in the mounting hole you push a pin home to apply tension.
No matter what type you find in there you will most likely have to remove the bumper cover. I have had mine off but never really explored the splitter mounting.

Remove the front bumper. The splitter is held in place by a few metal rivets. You will have to cut/drill them out.

I took mine out a while ago and replaced it with a AL diamond mesh that I cut myself. Never really liked the look of the splitter.

For anyone who cares, I was able to just pull off my broken lower grille splitter from its clip slots right out and replace it with the new one. Inserted the new clips into the slots and it was done. Took 5 seconds no tools at all.
