just curious...what symptoms would arise if the lower intake gaskets were worn?

 

iownme, you will get vacuum leak codes (P0171 and P0174). May also get a lean code for a particular cylinder too. In severe cases, you can probably get a misfire code too (P030X where X is the cylinder that is misfiring).

 

ah..ok thanks Thermo...i get a bit of hesitation, feels like a vacuum leak but checked and replaced all the usual suspects...think i'll dig down at the weekend...i have the lower gaskets...might just solve it

 

I own me, did you buy the upper and lower ones for the spark plug change and then just do the upper ones? Cause that's exactly what I did haha. I wish I took the extra 30 minutes, but I was afraid I would drop something into the intake.
