Lpg system removal...help !!!!
hi all, i bought an x type 3.0 last year with an LPG conversion already on it, short story is, the installation was dangerous, 12 months of waiting for trading standards to say nothing we can do, SO, im removing the LPG system, taken everything off but what im left with on the engine side is 6 lugs which come from the exhaust manifold, i presume these were drilled in when the system was fitted, they all have rubber hoses which went to LPG regulator/pressure, I am taking it they dont connect to anything now so question is, how do i blank them off? or does this mean i'd need a new manifold?
TIA Geoff

Just a clarification; exhaust or intake manifold?
I can't imagine any exhaust connections that would use tubes, the only LPG exhaust side connections I've seen were air/fuel sensors, but they have wires, and I saw a genny setup with a purge valve, but that was plumbed in after the cats.
To close either of those, remove the plug, find the appropriate nut to match the thread, and measure it to just fill the bung without extending into the inner diameter of the manifold, Put some copper sealant on, and bolt the bung closed. Another option is to simply have them welded shut, but you'd want to take the manifold off of the car to do that.
On the intake side, same thing, although I'd be expecting to find six injectors, not three. Measure up, bolt them closed with sealant.
I'd probably just get a replacement intake base and upper from a breaker, though.
