Making a copy from a NAV DVD (X-Type Europe)

Hi,

My old (2005) original DVD is working fine, bought a 2008-2009 copy last year from eBay. Lately the copy was giving me (read)problems, so put in the original DVD again.

As the copy reads fine in my PC, I wanted to burn a new copy. Unfortunately the Nav system does not recognize the newly copied disc.

How should the DISC be copied ? Anything I should check ?

Not something that should be posted on line as this is a copyright violation. If you were copying your original disc for your own back up purposes from the original disc you probably would have reasonable luck talking to an IT guy. The procedure would usually work for a secondary back up.

At least with your version, the software is still available to allow purchase of legitimate disc. When available and purchased rather than copied it does prove to the vendor thae product is worhty of support with updated program data.

Those of us with older NAV systems would probably be grateful for Navteq to even re-publish old outdated discs.

You might try copying your old disc and verify all hardware is working in copy process.
