Mass Air Flow - MAF - Check light on
Hi everyone,
My engine light came on last week, and so I took it down to Autozone to check it out. They said it was the MAF sensor. They suggested I buy a can of this spray cleaner to see if that fixes it. I cleaned and reinstalled, but nothing changed. I went back in and bough the new sensor. It's only $35 and a two minute fix, and that still didn't kick the engine light off. I haven't really noticed any engine sounds or loss of performance as I've read about here in the forum. The light still reads a problem with the sensor, so I'm concerned about ignoring it.
Can I just have Autozone reset it and see if it pops up again? Any other ideas? Thanks, guys.

I guess my concern is that I left the negative battery unhooked for a few hours in hopes of the computer resetting itself...and it didn't. I'll give it another day or two to see what it will do on its own. Crossing my fingers it's nothing more than this.
There are 2. P0171 and P0174. I done a lotta reading, and I checked all the basic obvious problems. All hoses are connected and seated properly. I'm stumped this point. It drives just fine, but I can't get her that silly error code.
