It could just be your injectors pulsing, this is normal. Have you ever replaced your IMT o rings? Does the ticking change with engine RPM?

The IMT o-rings would be a must. They are the quick fix to some the codes your seein. They are located right where your hearing the noise, the passenger side of the intake. They are two black circle shaped discs. It has two bolts holding them in. Simplly unbolt them and pull it out, you will see a dried out cracked yellowish o-ring, causin the vacuum leak. Local Jag dealer sells them for a couple bucks each. Easy cheap fix!!! And takes about 10 min. Although i did mine when i did my plugs cuz i was told the intake needed to come off to do the bottom but apparently you can slip the o-ring over the disc. Can try it.

FYI.....the new o-rings should be GREEN. They are the new improved ones. GOOD LUCK!!!

If you're too far away from a dealer, just call Dan at Nalley Jaguar, I bet he'd sell you the o-rings, put them in a #10 envelope and mail it to you...at no shipping charge. He's a good guy to deal with on parts.

Honestly....If you could match up the o-ring size i really dont think it matters. Its just an o-ring. So if you can get one from someone nearby check it out. I think its roughly 3". Let us know.

The IMT 0-rings is one of the MOST common vacuum leaks brotha. Thats why its mentioned. Also the vacuum line running from the brake booster and the one that runs north and south to the left of the air intake tubes. Ill try and find pics.

Heres a link to a pic of the IMT o-rings.....
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/sh...6&postcount=16)

The other is the 8" tube running along side of the intake suction ending at the air filter box. If you go to the FAQ part you will see one under engine that says soemthing about vacuum leak. It shows a pic of this tube.
