help 2003 jag x type 3.0 awd. hesitation at low load and low revs fine flat out etc. changed bank 1 o2 sensor 5 times and throws 5 different fault codes.that sensor related, now its a lean code on that bank fuel trim all over the place also. done all vacuum checks changed inlet manifold , injectors, plugs, coils, maf, map, throttle position sensor, throttle body still the same, with a one of faulty o2 sensors p1646 runs fine but all others nope..... wtf!!!!!

Have you checked the fuel pressure. A faulty fuel pressure sensor will cause high fuel pressure and rich running when at idle. The problem does sound fuel related if you don't have any major vacuum leaks.

 

yes but glad to report the problem was a duff cell in battery causing voltage wavering in o2 sensor etc. weird as only give away was a slight flickering of inside light. battery reads 11.7 volts 15 when running but somehow it managed to cause the issue. shes a fussy beggar obviously

 

Thanks for posting the resolution. The kitties are very fussy about voltage and the X-Type for some reason is extremely hard on batteries.
