does any one know how to connect my mobile to the in car bluetooth phone kit

 

This may be a stupid question....are you sure you have the hnads free option on your car? The reason I ask is even though there are phone icons on the dash and steering wheel that doesn't necessarily mean that is equipped on the car. It was an option up until, I think 2006 or so, then it was standard on the newest models.

 

i dont know if it is or not , but when i press the button it says no phone

 

When you see that it means you do not have that option on your car.

You would have to have that installed at the dealer. I think it might be like $800-$1000 to do that though. There are probably cheaper aftermarket options available if you really want that feature in your car.

 

I just got a 2004 XJ, trying to set it up. Finally figured the clock out, although I have not learned yet how to change am to pm. Also trying to get the preset radio stations set. They did scan it and pick up stations in the area but I wanted to program them myself and also want to get my iphone and voice activation going. When I push the button on the steering wheel it mutes it.. not sure if that means that I do not have that option or what. Any help would be much appreciated!! Thank you all.. I have learned so much from reading past threads.
