It will go up but not back down. How do you tell if its the switch or motor? The three buttons infront don't work either. I need to close this thing before it rains !

 

Maybe reset it ?

 

Holding the front button does nothing? Normally it will just cycle it through if there are any electrical problems so you can still get it closed.

 

I had a similiar situation. It may sound wierd, but it worked. With the engine off, I got a pair of plyers and pulled on the sunroof. Then, I started the car and the sunroof closed. Now, everyone knows DO NOT OPEN the sunroof! Good luck and I hope it gets resolved soon.
