My 03 X has rust
I have read the horror stories and mine has got bad.I would post pics. but you all know what it is. The Minnesota salt has done it's job!
Both front lower door pillars and rockers . I need ideas, ANY, I am not a body man with the tools and expertise to do major jobs. I have sprayed special anti-rust and slowed it down but it's gotten out of control.I fixed the rocker panels last year. Where do ya start. The rear bumper has been repaired five times from people hitting me and I never was in the car when it happened. The last time I had them paint over the target on the car.LOL,but they can't hit the side or front NOOO .Anyway any suggestions?

Where do you start? Move to a state that doesn't salt the roads! Heh.
Actually, just read this thread.

Interestingly, mine, which has lived it's life in often rainy Oregon and driven over 150,000 miles, has no rust whatsoever in any of the common areas or otherwise. So I do believe rain alone isn't enough to cause an issue, I think it's mostly the road salt (Oregon does not salt the roads, even when the snow is heavy).
