OK, I am going to loose my mind here...

I have not driven my car for 5 months because it was too cold to drive without a heater. I have driven it a couple times this spring since it has started warming up. I drove it to work today, and the weather surprised me with 80 degrees. It was brutal with no blower.

Yesterday, I ordered a new fuse box, it should be here monday, maybe friday. After I got home today (an hour drive) I decided I was going to see if I could bypass it for the next few days, supply 12 volt to fuse 49, since I had none.

Well, after sweating profusely today, I went back out to my car, started it up and... My dome lights came on, and the blower kicked right up. I now have power at fuse 49. I have turned the car off and back on a half dozen times, and it still works.

However, no matter what location I have the blower set to, it only blows from the defrost.

What in the world is going on here? Am I going insane?

Ok, I have an update. My mentioned electronics have been working very erratically. Some days the blower works, some days it doesn't. Has anyone ever experienced the battery saver relay working sometimes?

Anyway, I replaced the fuse box yesterday, and at least as of now, it is all working. It blows from wherever I set it to, and seems to all be in order.

Yeah, mine did that too. It would work very briefly then would stop for a long time. The jumper has been working great and it is still in there. I bought a used fused box off eBay but I haven't installed it yet. I did notice that on the fuse box I just bought you can remove the battery saver relay!!! I thought these were not interchangeable.

Mine has been working with the new fuse box, but I need to get my AC recharged. I have done the reset procedure, but its only blowing cool, not ice cold like it did last year.
