Default Need help Airbag Code 52

I have code 52 on the dash then the light stays on. I used a meter to check the wiring under the seat to the buckle and the pretensioner. One reads a closed loop and the other is open. Checked the driver side and it reads the same. I get the light when the main wiring harness to the seat is disconnected also. Not sure where to go from here. 2005 X type 3.0 Heated seat and power passenger seat. BTW this problem only seems to occur in warmer weather. Doesn't matter if someone is sitting in the seat or not.

I'm confused with your question and course of action.

This is a #52 code =

52 Communication failure between control module and display unit during operation.

This is usually associated with the NAV unit. First course of action is eject the NAV disc and reinsert. If that does not work, it's usually the NAV unit has failed.

LCD DISPLAY FAULT CODES
CODE DESCRIPTION
50 Communication failure between control module and display unit at startup.
51 Communication failure between control module and display unit during operation.
52 Communication failure between control module and display unit during operation.
61 Control module ROM failure. Checksum error during start up.
62 Control module RAM failure. Read/write error during start up.
71 Backlight lamp failure during operation.
74 Backlight lamp overcurrent.
75 Video power supply failure.
76 Display unit over temperature.
79 Teletext failure (when fitted)
91 Soft switch malfunction.
92 Soft switch malfunction.
C1 Communication failure between synchronised signals.

An airbag 52 code is not displayed on the dash. It is usually a 5 flash, pause 2 flash, longer pause repeat of the red light by J Gate or maybe the airbag icon itself. It's helpful to be as specific in description as possible to get help.

If it is a FLASH CODE 52, the diagnostics and repair begin on page 2686 of the downloadable Workshop Repair Manual on the main page "stickies".

Sorry, it is a SRS flash code. I checked the connections under the seat and it looks OK. Looking for some guidance what to do next? Should I replace the seat belt buckle?

I believe I read the diagnostic to meter (ohm) out the specific pins on the connectors to the battery and ground on the cable to the seat. It checks OK on all counts, then it says to replace the seat belt buckle, so I was seeking some reassurance before sourcing and ordering one. Thanks for the advice to read the manual. If that was the solution for everyone there would be no need for this forum.
