I brought my jag 2.5 xtype to the jaguar dealership...they told me i needed a new throttle body because my car had the engine light on and also gearbox fault, and they told me it would cost 2200 to fix and that some senor was coming onsaying traced to throttle body position switch whatever that means....so i wanted a second answer from someone else. So i bring my car to them and took my throttle body out and cleaned it, put it back in and start the car still wasn't working right.....but I thought in order for it to work right you need to reset the car. Now there telling me there bringing my car back down to the jaguar dealership to see if its some type of tranmission sensor which i think is bull because they didn't even reset my car yet to see if it works....What should i tell these people tomorrow?? Should i just tell them to have them reset my car and see if it works and if not go to somebody else. I just don't know what to trust or who to trust.....need help asap thanks...

 

No i don't have a warranty on the car, my car is an 2002, I had the this auto repair shop take it out and clean it and reinstall it but they told me that i guess my computer needed to be reseted first. I first bought it to a jaguar dealership and they told me that i needed my throttle body replaced. I don't know anything about what codes are coming up. Thats all they told me.
