Hello guys;

I wanted to obtain your opinion on this new water pump I got for 29.00on ebay:

It has a large metal propeller and looks pretty solid. Reason I am asking is because mine is making noises and I want to replace it but have had good and bad experiences with parts in this car... The aftermarket coolant temperature sensor made the car go into limp mode and the light came on, same thing with the aftermarket gas-cap...on the other hand the aftermarket starter and coolant reservoir tank are doing fine...

Take a look at this please..it's marked OAW

Spike, I say install it. One thing you may notice is if you are removing the factory water pump, the fins of the old water pump are much bigger than the fins on this one (the plastic fins are about 1/2-3/4" in size where these were 1/4-1/2" in size. I noticed that when I did my car and I was a little leary at first. But, after filling the car up, I have not had any issues with the car overheating or whatnot. So, while you may be questioning yourself, all is good.

Install that puppy and see if your temp problem goes away.

 

That is the same water pump that I installed. It works fine.
