need to replace X Type headlight

I have a '04 X Type with a burned out driver side headlight. I pulled the plastic cover off the back of the light and can see the rear of the bulb, but was unable to remove it. Does anyone know how to remove the bulb?

typically, the bulb screws out of the light housing...
