Question New clutch fitted - now it's overheating!

I have recently had my 2002 X type 3.0 refitted with a new clutch and the mechanic seems to have left off some plugs: I will post the photos and I hope and pray someone can help me find the inserts for them as I have tried and cannot. Also the car is overheating now and fans not working on the radiator, so I hope its not just a coincindence. One cable is on a split line with thermal protection which is the 3 prong plu towards the starter/ brake fluid res. The other smaller two prong is just under the battery in the front right of the engine comp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance.

Curtizb, the 2 pin plug that is by the battery is a plug that is no longer used on your vehicle. It was installed to allow the car to be transitted across the ocean and have a battery tender attached. If you look on the back of the battery box, you will see a dummy recepticle there and you can plug it in there.

As for the other plug, can you give me the wire colors that are going into the plug. I can figure out what it goes to then. I would think that you can do some looking around and see if you find the other half of the plug to connect it to. Shouldn't be too far away. You can take the plug and stretch it out a little bit to find the area that you can expect to find the other half.

The wires are two white: one with a green dash, and the other with a blue dash, and one black. I have looked a few times to try and find the darn recepticle, but I must be blind or maybe its on the bottom of something. Again like I said before its on a cable that has a heat protection foil around it and it's branches off from another cable with the same type of foil insulation. Thanks

Exclamation fan control module

From what I seen online the fan control module is supposed to be located in the driver side wheel well, but other pics show it more toward the front right side by the radiator. CVan someone help me out with the location and also which fuses should I check on a 2002 X type 3.0 Mnaual. Thanks so much this forum rocks! Curt

curtizb, I am assuming you are over in England, but I am going to reference things regardless of where you live.

Open the hood of your car. Lean in over the car and rest your hands on the support that goes over the radiator like you were going to be looking at the firewall area. Keeping your right hand planted, back up just a little bit and look under your right hand. The module will be about 6 inches (15cm) under your hand. It will be facing the battery box. You may need to stop over to the tire on that side to get a better view.

Curtiz, as for that 3 wire plug that you are not sure where it goes, it appear that it goes to the tranny. There is an "output speed sensor" for the tranny that the car uses. The connector will most likely go somewhere on the top of the tranny. Not having a manual car to access, that is about as specific as I can get. But, look down under the battery and you should see a connector there.
