New Paint Color Ideas??
Hey there guys,
First of all I wanted to thank everyone for giving me the good advice of purchasing the extended warranty when I bought my 2005 Jaguar X Type from Carmax.
It had 74,000 miles at the time and I paid 10,000 plus 2100 for the warranty. I just got my car back from the repair shop on Saturday.
They replaced the wheel bearings, front struts and mounts, both control arms and rebuilt the transmission. However when I went there to pick it up the power steering wasnt working so the flushed it out and put in fresh power steering fluid.
Total charge to the warranty company was just over 7K I feel that the car has new life now and wanted to get it wrapped in a vinyl coat.
The car color is white with tan interior. I dont want to make it look cheapy/trashy and the curves on the car make it hard to pick a cool color.
I want to do the work my self. We have contemplated the carbon white matte wrap. The interior headliner is sagging and the dash on the wood is cracking.
Any color combo advice is greatly appreciated THANKS!!!!

htp, first off, I think you need to decide how dark of a color you would be willing to go. I know a darker color car can make getting into it on a hot summer day almost miserable.
With that being said, you could have some fun and keep the car white, but maybe do something like a pearl pinstripe down the side of the car to add a little bit of color (would shift as you change angles). Nothing extreme, but enough to draw some attention (like the car needs it as it is).
The good thing about the tan interior is you can pick just about any color you want and the interior is going to go with it. So, lets narrow down the list of colors and then lets see what we have then.
Could have a little bit of fun and go with something like a gun metal silver which would be slightly different than what most people have (would be slightly darker), but not so dark as to look completely out of place. Then to add some normal silver pin stripes on the side or even do a dark gray/black stripe. That would also give you a reason to do the Sport conversion if that is something you are pondering.

My color thoughts...
Hey everyone,
I know this is an older post, but I've thought about this. I wanted to repaint my car, but do it two toned. I want the 2 bumpers, and 2 rear view mirrors in a flat epoxy-based black. Then I would redo the finish on the rest of the car. It would give the bumpers, which are known for chipping, a really strong paint finish, plus I think it would look really cool...
Just my 2 cents.
