Default New X Type

Hey guys new to the forums here and Im hoping I could have a quick question answered. I just purchased a 2004 X Type 3.0 with 72k on the clock. Now I noticed behind the rear passenger wheel there is a small black rubber hose hanging down. I crawled and looked under the rear panel to see maybe if it connects to something but couldn't find anything.Looks to possibly be a drain hose of some type? Does anyone know what this might be?Thanks !

A photo would be very helpful :P

I do recall seeing a photo of an X-Type with some hose hanging from the rear end, but I can't remember what it turned out to be nor can I find the thread anymore.

nuttz, first off, welcome to the Forums. As I am sure you are finding out, there is tons of useful information here and how we have a good time sharing that information. But, we do ask that you stop by the New Member Section and introduce yourself. We pride ourselves in being a better car group and as a result, we like to get to know one another. This gives you a chance to tell us why you are here and to meet those that make this place what it is. So, sit back, grab a cup of joe and enjoy.

As for the hose, that as I recall is the drain for the sun roof. What you can do is to open up the sun roof and then pour (carefully) a little bit of water into the surround of the sunroof. You should see the water that you poured in come out that hose. Keep the house tucked up and out of the way and all is good.
