Newbie x type opinion
Hi all,
Just joined the forum as looking for some advice.
Ive been an alfa driver for the past 5 years and just seen a gorgeous gorgeous x type jag 2006, 2.2 diesel sport.
I love it but getting mixed reviews from friends.
Can I get some opinions and advice please from experienced jag owners
Many thanks in advance!

With respect , you better off discussing Diesels on the UK Jaguar Forum site . This site is mainly USA /rest of world, where diesel Jags , are a bit few & far between . Lots of great people & worldwide Jag information on here ....Tell us how you get on ?? My own opinion is that Diesel engines don't belong in Jaguars . ( Its a bit like going to a Cathederal to listen to a Juke box !! ) Petrol !!! pay at the pump , Diesel !! pay the dealer to keep it on the road !!

Russ, we have a fair number of UK members here. But, a majority of people are from other parts of the world.
As for your question, this is like asking what your favorite color is. There are lots of opinions of what the car should and should not be. In short, if you are looking for a sports car, then this car fails at that (handles corners well, but for acceleration and whatnot, many other cars that will drive circles around it). You want something that will cruise at a good speed for long periods of time in comfort, then the X-Type excels in that. What specifically are you getting positive and negative feedback on. that will help us tell you how we feel about the car.
