No heat in car please help
Hello. I recently had my car serviced. And I’m getting these codes showing up on an expensive professional scanner. I have very little or cold air only when the heat is on. The ac works fine. But the heat is not hot at all. Used to be very hot. All the vents are working. Defrost face floor etc. I googled the codes but nog sure what to make of it. Theses are the codes I’m getting if someone can give me more info please.

NYCJag2006, this can be caused by a few things. The more likely situation is that you have a plug in the heater core and it is blocking any hot water from reaching the passenger compartment. Unfortunately, the solution to this involves 1 of 2 things: 1) draining the coolant system and blowing air through the heater core to remove the blockage, or 2) draining the coolant system and replacing the heater core (this means pretty much removing the whole dash from the car). I would try blowing air through the core first to see if you truely have a blockage.
It is possible that if your water pump is starting to go, with the cool temps outside, the pump may not be developing enough pressure to push through the heater core, but it is just sufficient enough to keep the motor at its proper temp.
Let me look at the codes and maybe I can draw something from that.

Thx Thermo. This issue started last year when it was still cold but getting close to spring. Mechanic changed the thermostat. Didn’t fix anything. I have no coolant leaks at all. Reservoir is always full. He didn’t mention any of the codes I wrote in my previous post. Just got these codes from a different mechanic recently. Thx for any help.
The first three fault codes refer to problems with the servo motors operating the airflow control flaps. Have you considered a problem such as this one
XT412-02.
While this particular TSB is for MY 2002/04 it's worth checking out. Also in these sort of situations, re-setting the flap servo motors rules out other problems.
Manual Reset A panel / stepper motor manual reset method exists and is listed below:
• Select full cooling - Temp Lo
• Select full heating -Temp Hi
• Back to full cooling
• Select face followed by floor
• Then select face again
• Finally select defrost
If there is any doubt, then a battery reset (disconnect)should be completed; wait two minutes before re-connection.
