I have a thumping sound that I can't figure out. I thought it was new tires, rotated same noise. (rt front) Noticed a small amount of transmission fluid in the driveway today...I replaced the fluid 3 months ago.
It almost sounds like a bearing...

 

I am going to get the front bearings replaced and I think I may just replace the struts, the strut mounts and bump stops in the front end as well.
Anything else anyone can think of? (Car has 94,000 miles)

2 wheel bearings
2 sway bar links

The passenger side axle was worn and making the noise.

I went ahead and replaced:

* Both front wheel bearings
* Both front struts
* Both front bump stops
* Both front bellows
* Both strut bearings
* Passenger side axle
* Lower power steering hose

Replaced original serpentine belt and idler.
No movement in the sway bar links (front) I replaced the rears earlier.

I've now done both the front and rear.

Now I need to change the transfer case oil and differential oil. Did the transmission and the car shifts like glass.
