OK, thanks! Do people actually use these cars for "sporty" resons? Drag race, autoX, street racing...? I have a turbo civic, so I dont really need a "sports" car, but is it worth it? Do they handle well, and are they fast? What do yall think...?
I wouldnt advise drag racing an x-type for long. Transfer cases arent cheap, and frankly, the x-type isnt that fast as drag racers go.
Dont get me wrong, I think the 3.0 is pretty fast as sedans go, but I wouldnt expect much from it against a WRX or Lancer EVO, lol

OK, cool...Does "body color trim" mean instead of using like chrome or black they use the car color for those things? If I was planning on lowering springs + wheels, would it be pointless to get the "sport" model? Cuz two of the differences are the wheels and suspension...?

If you're going to lower the car and go for a sportier look, then I would say the sport trim would work better for that look. Its really a personal choice though. Somehow, I dont think the x-type should be customized like an Acura/Honda/Toyota/Nissan, but many other posters on here do. It is entirely up to you. Just like it, and have fun

Dont forget the deep bolstered seats in the sport package.
also the wood is a different colour on the dash.
without the sports pack, the x type is just tooo girly for me. the look plus the ability to heave the car around corners better is the ONLY way I can justify owning a Jag.

Oh, I didnt know about the bucket seats! See, ya learn something new w/ every post! Thanks...How bout performance differences?? Is the sport faster or anything...? How bout the diff is wheel size between the two...?
Sports seats, 15% stiffer suspension, body coloured moulds, sports spoiler, different colour veneer on dash, depends on year and engine size (can you get 2.0 in US??) I think for the wheels.Generally the Sport came with the 17" Sport wheels.
Handling with the 2.5 and 3.0 is good as they both have the AWD.
Not exactly a stunningly quick car doe to weight but its quicker than it feels in 3.0 guise.
Good luck.
