2002 x-type. Have scanner, can't locate connector

Mine is above the hood latch/release on an 04'.

Bill, sit down in your driver's seat and then run your hand along the edge of the dash (at the very bottom). When you hand runs into something when you go to the left, that is the OBD connector.
