Has anyone here tried using something like the Mityvac oil extractor on their X-Type? I have the Mityvac 7201 that I have to use on my Merc and when I tried to use it on my Jag, it didn't work. I wasn't sure if I just didn't feed the tub far enough down the dipstick hole or the design of the oil pan doesn't allow for it.

No joke, it takes me about 1/4 the time to complete the oil change on the Merc without even getting a spec of oil on my hands. The filter being on top certainly makes life yet easier. Man I hate the oil filter location on the X-Type.

 

I use a Griot's extractor on my car to change the oil, works fine takes out 6 quarts plus. has a strong suction . One thing you want to do with these is cut the tube that goes into the engine on a angle so it won't get hung up on anything in the engine. My son is kind enough to remove the oil filter for me due to my back problem. He changed the oil for me last week, as I am recovering from a heart attack.

The other night I was watching one of the Matrix movies, the second one I believe. In the scene where he is in the subway station waiting for a train on the wall behind him is Mobil 1 printed across the wall. I have never noticed this before and this is a favorite movie of mine. Mobile is not in caps by the way.
