Default Oil Light On

To cut a long story short, i've had my 2.0d xtype parked up for 10 days doing nothing while i worked on ball joints and bushes for its MOT.

Now previously if the car was sat for 2 days the battery would drain and i would have to charge it and it would discharge itself after 2 or 3 cranks.

Now after getting the car started again the oil light started coming on ?? previously it's been fine no codes no oil lamp but all of a sudden this has started happening it would remain on, flicker, dim, flicker and then go off and remain off ? oil level is fine, new battery has been installed and so far is no longer draining.

Your help is appreciated.

I would check the oil pressure sensor or replace it if it still stays on you would need to get it to a garage to have it checked out dont drive though no oil pressure will total the engine good luck

How many kilometres/miles are on the vehicle?

Has the oil pressure been checked using an external gauge to verify it is the switch?
