Default Oil pooling?

Hello fellow owners.

Recently doing the spark plug and gasket changes and boy did it need it. No check engine lights just scared me when I pulled the plugs. Had to be as old as the car lol.

Anyway. As I was pulling it all apart and cleaning it up I snapped some shots of what appears to be oil pooling or pooled. I can confirm it is currently not leaking as there is no evidence on my garage floor.

I will let the images speak. Any input is appreciated.

Hope you can see it. Wondering if this is a big deal.

I can't help you, but I'd like to know that as well. I think i'm going to try to do this same job to mine this week. Its starting to get annoying when its cold in the morning. If I remember correctly, I did this to my mother's Ford Escape, which looks like a very similar job. She had some oil in there as well. I figured it was just from the gaskets. Her escapes been going for over a year since with no apparent problems.

Hello

If there are no visible leaks and you are no using a noticeable amount of oil I would guess its just from spillage when topping up? Can't really think of anywhere else it would come from there. Sorry cant help any more.

I wanna say its from the previous owner or something that the dealer fixed before I bought it possibly...my vehicle isn't leaking any oil that I can tell and when I get my oil changed they don't mention its low or no lights come on at all so I can presume its okay I suppose

Check / Replace the PCV. This valve could be bad and letting the oil blow by, which would accumulate at the gaskets in you pictures. If these gaskets - o-rings are bad, then oil froma a bad PCV would blow by these gaskets as well. I hope you're changing out all 12 of the intake manifold gaskets, if you gone this far to find the oil leak.

I also think that I am going to get in there and replace that coolant line when I flush my coolant later, I am still trying to figure out all the drain locations for the coolant and how to properly refill the coolant once I have flushed it...or pay a local shop to do it so I don't jack it up.
