Exterior mods are lookin great. My next mod will probably be the front grill. Also I wasnt sure about the chrome around the front/rear lights but after I viewed the pics I think thats another mod on my list. I thought it might look too chromed out, but it looked very clean.

Hey Race, I'm bringing this back from the dead! When you installed your navi, did you have to splice the wires in the back, or were you able to find an after market radio wire harness? I've been looking for 2 days now and can't find squat! I'm quite disappointed because I can't even find the radio bezel trim thing to make the surroundings of the unit look decent. Everything has to be made custom. This is the unit I bought! I bought it near new for $500 but finding anything to help with the installation is a PITA! It hooks up just like a regular after-market radio, with the exception that the brain goes under the seat. I have the bypass done already, and taking the original radio was as simple as 4 bolts. (Had to be very careful with the shhhh "Ford" plastic) The original wires that hook up to the radio are pretty simple. I can see which switch powers the speakers, which on is for the steering wheel, which one is for the power, and which one is for the CD changer. However, if I can prevent having to cut wires I would much prefer to. Any help is much appreciated. The quality is awesome though!!! I can't wait to have this baby in!!!

I had to make everything and I didn't cut any wires...just incase Jag said I would void the warranty...
But, you're in luck. I managed to find a company that just may be able to help you....
BTW, good looking radio..you should be very happy with it.

Hey biggie is that radio going work well with the screen folding out? I'd imagine it'd work fine since the only radio fascia you are going to be able to find is on the upper part...

Alright guys, I found for 10 bucks the wiring harness for the Radio, which was for a Ford from 86-04. Easy find, but the fascia was not easy to find. As of right now, I have it in without the fascia! Doesn't look too bad. I'll post pics later!

If u dont have the dash kit, make sure that its not seen by too many people, cos its probably really easy to steal rite now. Just a heads up, cos it happend to one of my friends. It was stolen on the same day he got it put in.

Just so you guys know, the jag steering wheel controls are really easy to get working with aftermarket stereos. As long as the aftermarket stereo has a remote, you can use a pac swi-x, in mode 3 just connect the steering wheel wire to the input of the swi-x.

Now, there is one thing i must add, you must program the swi-x TWICE in sequence, because apparently the resistances are different if the headlights are on, than if they aren't - ask me how much frustration it took to figure that one out. It's ok though cause the jag only has 6 buttons on the wheel and the swi-x can control up to 18 functions.

E-mail me if you want more info, i have all the documentation and the procedures needed.

Take care,

George
