Default This one's a bit weird...

Installed new front wheel bearings, rotors and pads. The tone ring on the left rear wheel needs to be replaced and, until I can around to that, I disconnected the sensor cable. ABS light is on as is DSC Not Available which I expected. However, when you back off the gas and hold a steady rpm, the car lurches back and forth almost as if you hitting and releasing the gas pedal. This goes on until you either accelerate again or come to a stop with the clutch disengaged. It happens in every gear, but is especially noticeable in the lower ones. As much as I doubt it, could this be related to the ABS system being disconnected? Is there a better to temporarily disconnect it than what I did? Finally, has anyone else run into this problem.

Default UPDATE - This one sounds weird...

The problem may very well be the ABS system being disconnected. It turns out that the ABS system has some effect on fuel delivery on engine overrun. The lurching occurs on overrun. When you just touch the gas pedal the car jumps ahead and you're thrown abruptly back in your seat, when you release it you get thrown forward. So if anyone has had this problem, I would really like to hear what it turned out to be.

Anyone? Bueller?
