Default Abs engages when making right turns

About 1 month after I changed my brake pads and rotors my abs started engaging with light braking, after s bit the abs light would come on. I had it scanned and came up with the right from abs sensor, swapped it with a new one and no change at all. It now seems that it won't do it unless I am making a right turn and then it engages.

I am thinking a bad reluctor ring but don't wanna tear it apart if somebody thinks it might be something else.

I assume you meant the right front abs sensor. You should check the wiring to the sensor. Sounds like it gets strained in a turn. The reluctor rings are only in the rear. The equivalent on the front is included in the bearings.

I'll check the wiring good one more time, I have also noticed since my brake job that the right front tire is wearing on the inside and the car has been pulling left pretty good which it never did before.. Maybe entirely unrelated though.

My X-type experience and knowledge is nil, but, just to throw something out.....

I had a problem with my XJR where the ABS light came on only around corners. Long story short....

The reluctor wheels is pressed onto the hub. A worn rear wheel bearing caused excessive movement of the hub...particularly when cornering... allowing the reulctor to move away from the sensor, disrupting the reading. On disassembly for wheel bearing replacement I also discovered the reluctor wheel was loose on the hub. On reassembly I used Loctite to ensure it didn't wobble.

Cheers
DD

In doing a little more research, it looks like the wheel bearing is tied to the abs system, is it possible that the uneven wear, pulling and abs issue is related to a bad bearing in the front right? I have been getting a weird high pitched noise but I thought it was my carrier bearing.
