Online Parts ordering? Where? No generic stuff please
I don't want to waste time going to a dealer (2 hours round trip). Does anyone know of a dealer that has online parts listings and the ability to order online? I found a few places that say they sell parts, but unless it's a common part they don't list it. The dealers I found, want you to send them an e-mail with the information. I just want to find the part look at the diagram to make sure it's the right part and click order then wait for the part to get here.
Something like this only for jaguars (this place lists every single part like a dealer does):
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ . This site is ran by an actual honda dealer (Majestic Honda).
Great prices would be a plus also.
Thanks,
John

Try www.jaguarparts.com. I've never had to use them, but a few others on this forum have suggested the site to others. Good luck.

jevs, call the dealership that is hosting the www.jaguarparts.com site. They have a 1-800 number and you can talk to their parts guys directly. If Jag sells the part, they can get it for you even though it may not be listed. You can also try ken@britishparts.com on this site. He can probably get the fog light bracket, but I am not sure about the ashtray lid. You can always ask and go from there.

I called them today. Aparently the fog light bracket is not available. They said they think it comes only if you buy the whole bumper. What a joke, it's a bolt on part. Anyway since I had no luck, I got out my plastic welding gear out and rebuilt the old one. It's all back in now.
As for the ash tray lid, they want over $50. I sanded it down with some 180 grit to get all the black paint off that scratches so easy, then wet sanded it down with some 600 and finished it off with some buffing compound. Now it looks like what they should have done when they made the part. Now there is no finish to flake or scratch off and it matches just as well.
So, I spent no money and some time and got good results. Now I have to find or make a license plate bracket and buy a couple lug nuts.
