Only drivers side headlight is out AND high beam stalk won't stay... new bulb doesn't fix it???
So the drivers side headlight is out. New bulb doesn't fix it AND the high beam stalk won't stay back to hold the high beams on now. What could this chain of events be?
Headlight Fuse? I'd check that first. As far as the switchgear goes, you may need a new one if it's damaged. I've had to replace it in my old Honda Prelude when it wouldn't engage the high beams without me holding it.
This also may be a great excuse to get an HID kit
Good Luck

It was the fuse! The headlights ground was loosish too so that was fixed. Fixing those two problems fixed the high beam stalk. I think they have designed it so that if you have a headlight burn out you cannot just drive with the highbeams on and also I like there being a fuse for each side instead of just one for both lights so you dont suddenly go lightless. Thanks again friends.
Wow that is good to know. I would have thought the stalk was broken and just replaced that or swapped out the bulbs. Good work!
