Default Open trunk

Quick question anyone, how can i pop the trunk open from the inside of my 03 Xtype without having to use the key or come out of the vehicle? I have searched everywhere in the car for the trunk release button but obviously seems like i havent searched enough or there is no release button inside the car which will suck a lot if there isnt one

To my knowledge there is no trunk release button in the car. Have you tried to press the trunk release button on the key fob??? I can't say as I have tried it while sitting in the car but give it a shot.

I tried opening it with the key fob from inside too but it wont work as long as the car is running. Is there a key hole on the actual trunk on the 03 X types? I only see a release button but not a key hole. Unless it's hidden somewhere

I've often wondered if I could program one of the home link console buttons as a trunk release. Has anyone ever tried this?

Why would you need a button inside the car to pop the trunk for?

Your trunk is unlocked as long as your car doors are unlocked. Just press the button on the actual trunk to open it.

It's all about practicability ,by same logic fuel door release button inside the car is also very useful
