Default Orange oval light, no code.

I was driving to work and the orange dash light came on along with the "Cruise not available" message. No change in performance or otherwise. The light wasn't the cel, but just the oval warning light.

All went back to normal for the drive home, with no light or message. Eagerly went to pull codes.....nothing.

Anyone else ever get this?

For me this always popped up error code, but maybe tha fault was temporary. Did you check pending/unconfirmed codes and frozen frames?

Jaguar's are extremely sensitive to voltage. When they start throwing warnings for no apparent reason it is usually voltage related. In your case I think it might be corroded battery cables/connections.
I would remove and clean the connections and insure the are good and tight when reinstalling. Use a good electrical cleaner on the cable end connectors. The cables are bad about corrosion at the joint.

My scanner doesn't seem to report unconfirmed or frozen frames.

Just the oval, orange, symbol-less dash light.

While checking the battery cables remember to check both ends, The ground strap frame connection sometimes gets funky.

Thanks! It ended up returning and finally throwing a p0332 knock sensor code. Guess I get to replace it.
